The Student route is part of the UK's points-based immigration system, requiring applicants to demonstrate they meet specific criteria to be granted entry.

Yes, you can switch from most visa categories if you have valid immigration status. Some categories (such as visitor visa) do not permit switching. Contact us to check your eligibility.
If you want to change your course significantly or move to a different institution, you may need to apply for a new Student visa with a new CAS. Minor course changes may not require a new application.
Generally, no. Student visas are for full-time courses only. Part-time study may be permitted in specific circumstances, such as for postgraduate students writing up their thesis.
